ABOUT SPACE DIGITAL
Based at MediaCityUK in Salford, Space Digital is an award-winning VFX and production studio working on some of the UK’s most talked-about TV dramas. From Netflix originals to ITV primetime, we deliver the kind of visual effects that enhance a story without ever pulling focus – the work that makes everything feel real.
We’re a close-knit, ambitious team that’s proud of what we make. And right now, with a strong pipeline of productions in progress and more on the way, we’re growing.
THE ROLE
As VFX Production Coordinator, you’ll sit at the centre of everything – bridging artists, producers and clients, keeping workflows moving and making sure every delivery lands on time and on brief. This is a role for someone who genuinely understands the VFX process, can hold a lot of moving parts in their head, and keeps their cool when productions get complex.
You’ll work closely with the Producer and Production Manager, driving daily sessions, managing schedules and making sure the team always knows what’s coming next. It’s a high-responsibility role with real impact on the quality and pace of what we deliver.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Facilitating clear communication between all departments throughout production
- Creating script and bid breakdowns using text and graphics from client Editorial and Production teams
- Liaising with Production and Editorial to ensure all client materials are correctly received, downloaded and distributed
- Reviewing weekly targets and schedule requirements to ensure tasks are assigned and communicated clearly
- Working closely with artists to maintain delivery schedules and monitor task progress through rounds and dailies
- Driving dailies sessions to ensure material is presented correctly and that ongoing targets are visible to the team
- Tracking shot status and artist task completion in Flow Production Tracking (ShotGrid)
- Taking notes in dailies, rounds and client reviews – sharing feedback and updating the production database
- Keeping the production schedule current, including assignments, delivery dates and accurate ETAs
- Escalating potential schedule delays to the Production Manager and supporting the VFX Supervisor in finding solutions
- Gathering and preparing material for client sends
- Chasing and escalating show blockers, software tickets, render issues, that could affect delivery
- Monitoring the render farm to ensure critical deliveries are prioritised and render requirements are met
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- A clear, confident communicator; able to keep teams aligned and informed at every stage
- A proactive problem-solver who stays calm under pressure
- A solid understanding of the VFX pipeline, tools and processes
- Experience working collaboratively across artists, production and support teams
- Strong attention to detail – in schedules, communications and deliverables
- Proficient in Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
- Experienced with Flow Production Tracking (ShotGrid) or similar production tracking tools
- Self-motivated, with the initiative to manage your workload and resolve issues independently
- Highly organised, reliable and punctual
WHY SPACE?

- Based at MediaCityUK – one of the UK’s most vibrant creative hubs
- A growing studio with a strong, consistent pipeline of work
- A close-knit team that values craft, collaboration and storytelling
- A senior coordination role with real ownership and influence
