McCann Leeds

In early 2020, it was announced that McCann Leeds had been appointed by Benenden Health as their lead creative and strategic agency.  Since then, they have worked together to evolve Benenden’s brand proposition, creative strategy and marketing communications, culminating in the production of a TV campaign.

McCann Leeds and Benenden selected us to produce the ad – the first live-action shoot since the agency opened its doors.

The shoot, originally planned for March 2020 was postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions.  The project was then restarted in June, ahead of a July shoot.

Matthew Nelson, Managing Director at Space added “Naturally, with strict guidance in place for live-action shoots, we had to re-think things a little.  The script was amended and our host of vignettes of ‘everyday people’ were adapted to ensure we adhered to APA guidelines and kept our cast and crew safe at all times.”

The shoot took place in early July with a minimal crew and was one of the first post-lockdown productions of its kind.  The ad was directed by multi-award-winning director, Simon Delaney in the north west.  Post-production including visual effects (clean-up, sky replacements, building enhancements etc.) were handled in-house by the Space team.
