Drone shot of Ascari race circuit in Spain

Eagle F1 Supersport

When we received the call from a client to say they needed a ‘top team’ to shoot a fleet of supercars on a private racetrack in Spain, we immediately knew it was the job for us. Not just because we like cars and love to travel, but because we knew we could assemble the perfect team for the job.

With a short pre-production window and fixed budget, we enlisted the support of Gavin Whitehead to direct. Gavin’s credits include Top Gear and The Grand Tour, so his experience combined with one of our favourite DOPs, Toby Wilkinson (also of Top Gear and The Grand Tour) meant we could maximise the time we had on track with the cars and drivers. Toby and Gavin also brought along some of the wider Top Gear team to support.

We flew out to the exclusive Ascari circuit  and over the course of two days (some of which was ‘rained off’), we setup multiple crews at different areas of the track and used a combination of tracking vehicles, drones, mini-cams and a studio to capture the briefed footage.

Agency Creative Head, Mark Lambert commented “This was a dream brief: Porsches, Ferraris, Alpines and a private circuit in Spain – what’s not to love?! However, the turnaround timings were enough to make us all a little nervous. But having worked with the Space team across the globe, we knew we were in safe hands. Their experience and network enables them to make the impossible, possible.”

A suite of social assets were created and delivered in different aspect ratios within two weeks of returning from the shoot.
